About The Artist

My name is Hope McGill. I was born in Harlem New York, home to some of the greatest artist, writers and creative people to walk the earth. The inspiration runs deep!  My Grandmother has also been a huge influence on me.  As long as I can remember she has shopped for statement pieces of jewelry. Her love for fashion and jewelry rubbed off on me.

One of my great loves are African waist beads. For months I scoped the web in search of an affordable set that would fit my 54-inch waist. They were either too expensive or nonexistent. Frustrated I decided to create my own. I took beading classes and spent hours looking at YouTube videos to learn the process of various wrist, waist and rosary beading techniques. By trial and error I created my first waist bead set. After posting the finished product on FaceBook I began to receive request for custom pieces. Over time people would share their pieces on social network pages causing the demand for my custom sets to grow by leaps and bounds. Soon men began requesting wrist bracelets for their wives, mothers, girlfriends, daughters, sisters and themselves.

The smiles from my customers motivate me and warm my heart. Please have a look around.  Feel free to contact me if you would like a custom set. I would love to bring your vision to life.
